Talking Tuesdays - Real Techniques Core Collection Review

Hello!
So a few months ago I was in desperate need of brushes and I heard pretty good reviews of the real techniques brushes, so I thought I'd give them a go.
I chose the core set which includes;
• Detailer brush
• Foundation brush
• Buffing brush
• Contour brush
• Brush case - which can also be a stand
Buffing Brush: "ideal for full coverage application of powder and mineral foundation"
The buffing brush is probably one of my favourites, it is brilliant for full coverage, however it doesn't I've you that "caked in make up feel" and looks quite natural. One of the best brushes I've used.
Pointed foundation brush: "Use with liquid foundation to build custom coverage"
The foundation brush is very small, and way too time consuming to use for foundation, and leaves it quite streaky when I did attempt to use it for my foundation. I use it more for under my eyes, and concealing blemishes.
Contour brush: "delicately applies highlighter to contour or create sheer, soft-focus finish"
Next, the contouring brush, I use this for contouring and highlighting, I love this brush! I was a bit scared at first to use it for the simple fact that it's quite small, but it worked perfectly for me and blends really well.
Detailer brush: "precision cut to effortlessly conceal problem areas; or, use with lipstick for long-lasting shape and definition"
Finally, the detailer brush, this is the one brush I don't use, it's supposed to be for concealer but to me it's more for lips I think. It works well for covering blemishes and around the nose areas but that's about it really.
The four brushes also come in a handy little case which the brushes fit neatly into, the case also doubles as a stand too, which is brilliant.
Overall, I'm very happy with most of these brushes, I only really use 2-3 of the brushes on a daily basis however. The brushes are brilliant quality and have extremely soft fibres, and I also love that they are full size. These are well worth the money, and a brilliant starter for someone wanting to pay a little extra.
