Little Things

So another little things blog post! My life is in a good place at the moment, here's what's made me smile lately..

My daughter
She's always making me smile but lately she's more active, rolling around and trying to crawl. She seems to be learning things a lot more quickly now and I couldn't be prouder. She seems to be more of a little person now, and getting her own personality and it's amazing to watch her learn.

I'm new to Netflix, yes I know I'm completely behind, but it's taken over my night times, I've become obsessed with 'once upon a time.'

We barely have a summer in the UK, and when we do it only lasts a few days but I love it when the suns shining, I love taking Grace out in the sun, there seems to be so much more to do, and It also seems to lift your mood if the weather is cheerful.

Lately I've splurged some pennies at paperchase and bought a few cute looking notebooks, and it's sparked my love of writing all over again. As I've said many times I don't have a lot of spare time but when I do writing is one of my favourite things to do. When I was younger I used to love writing stories and did pretty well with it, with a large audience reading it, however when my a levels started and I had to revise I stopped - something that has only just started again recently, but I'm so happy I did.

Little things
As suggested by part of the title, little things are making me happy recently. I'm a single mum to a beautiful 9 month old little girl, and I honestly couldn't be happier, but the lack of time to myself makes me appreciate the simple things like having a cup of tea that's actually hot, or how the other day it was the first time in 9 months I have read a full magazine in one sitting - that was a big achievement. I think being a parent makes you see things a lot clearer, and you appreciate things in life a lot more, so the little things in life mean a lot more.

I've had a few weeks now without any internet, any distractions, I'm also currently living with my parents however they went on holiday, so I've had two weeks just me and my little one. It's given me a lot of time to think about my personal life, and I've realised that I'm in the best place I've been in my life. I have so much to look forward to in the upcoming months too and I've started to be a lot more positive, it's the little things that make you appreciate life and it's beauty.

Holls x
