My skin care routine! |12 days of blogmas!

Hello!
I love reading about which products people use in their daily skin care routine. My skin type is a combination of normal to oily skin. I get very oily in my t zone, especially on my forehead. Before I start I just want to say that not every product I use may work for you, however at the moment they work brilliant for me.

Most days I cleanse, tone and moisturise my face every morning and night, if I'm rushing and don't have the time on a night I will just use a make up wipe (I use the simple cleansing wipes) however I always make the effort to at least do my routine once a day.  As you'll be able to tell by the photographs, I use these products a lot, I definitely need some more soon!

If I have heavy eye make up on, I will use the Nivea eye make up remover first. I find this is so soft on my eyes, it is quite an oily product, so I try to use this at a minimum but it helps hydrate under my eyes and swiftly removes my make up without being too harsh on my eyes as that area is very sensitive.

Next, I use the Garnier micellar cleansing water to cleanse and remove the make up on my face and neck. It is a brilliant cleanser, suitable for combination to oily skin and for sensitive skin.

With all my products I use cotton wool pads, as I find them the best to use, these ones are just from the pound shop, however I've used a variety of them, from boots, Superdrug and supermarkets but I've found they are all pretty much the same quality.

After cleansing I use the Garnier refreshing toner. I've rarely used a toner until the past few months (feel free to shout at the computer!) I did my research on the benefits and decided to see if it would benefit me. A toner has a variety of purposes, such as regaining the PH balance in your skin, that is lost by products, exposure to pollution etc. It gives the skin a more radiant look, I have noticed since using this some of my fine lines under my eyes have reduced and my skin looks a lot more radiant.

Next, moisturising! I switch between two, depending on how my skin is. If I have breakouts or my skin isn't looking too brilliant I use the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo+ (a mouthful isn't it!) I discovered this little beauty just a few months ago and wow- this is my holy grail of skincare! I apply this all over my face, both morning and night, after cleansing and toning. I have no idea why but it seems to make my skin perfect again. It is supposed to fight against the appearance of marks and unclogs pores, and excuse my language but it bloody does! I love this product. However, I do think it's a bit strong for everyday use, so I keep it to a minimum (I will be doing a full review on this soon, if interested) if my skin is pretty normal I will simply use Nivea cream. My whole family swear by Nivea products and I've found myself doing the same, it makes my skin so soft and hydrated, I love Nivea!

Finally, I exfoliate my skin using the Clinique 7 day Scrub, I've used this since I was about 15/16 so a good 6/7 years now. I love the Clinique range, and as someone who counts pennies I believe it's worth every penny even though the range is slightly pricey. I only exfoliate 1-3 times a month, depending on how my skin is, just to scrub away the dead skin cells. I have sensitive skin but this is a lovely product and works perfect with me.

For those who are still reading, I apologise for the long blog post! But enough of my ramblings for now. I'd love to know what products you use? Let me know in the comments!

Holls xo
